I am so sorry to hear of Tom's tragic accident. My heart goes out to his family and friends. I met Tom at the April hunt. He was sitting with his close friend, Ross. I'll always remember the light in his eyes as he told my brother and me about the many treasures he found. He had so much energy and spirit. Tom's body may have passed on, but his energy and spirit will always live. My deepest sympathy to Tom's family and friends.

Here is a pic I found of Tom from the first day. That's him, seated with the navy blue shirt . . .

I haven't posted in quite a while, and reading this stunned me. I met Tom at Tuscazoar and knew right off that he was one person you could talk to and like. This is a true loss. My prayers go out to his family.

Very sad news indeed. My dad and I had assumed he was an older fellow when we first heard about it - but such a young, happy and healhy looking man. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family.

Very sad story. Our prayers go out to his children and family. One article I read said that he had shouted for help before going under. I wonder what happened?

I wish I had met Tom. Because of his accident I made it a requirement that members of the Search & Recovery Team of Oakland County must wear PFD's while in the water.
